Fruit Leather

I love making new treats for our little pup. Its even a plus that the whole family can enjoy this one too! I am making a strawberry and a blueberry fruit leather. Note: this is my first time attempting to make these.

First cut up your strawberries into cubes. The blueberries don’t need to be chopped up.

After cutting up the strawberries I placed them into a saucepan with the honey and water. Bring to a boil and than put on simmer. I let this go for 10 minutes.

After the ten minutes I put the mixture into a bowl and mashed the fruit even more. Make sure you do this step before throwing into the blender because you need to let it cool for a little bit. Pour onto the parchment paper. Turn your oven onto the lowest setting, mine was 170 degrees.

It can take up to 3-5 hours but mine was done in 5 hours! She did wait patiently. Ignore the drool.

The blueberries did not turn out like the strawberry but only because I made the mixture with too much water, which made it too thin on the pan. We did enjoy the strawberry though and we all loved it.

I cut them into little strips and put them into a storage container to give her some everyday!
